Leading Figures from Drug Discovery and Life Sciences to Gather for Basel Life Science Week – Mip Tec 2015 in Basel

BLSW – MipTec is Europe’s largest conference on drug discovery and draws 3,000 participants from over 50 countries each year. The event takes place at the Congress Center Basel (Switzerland) from 21–24 September 2015 and offers a high-calibre program.

This autumn, the scientific elite in pharmaceutical research will again come together in Basel as they have done annually for over twelve years. The event has grown from its origins as a specialist conference for laboratory automation into a leading global conference in the life sciences sector. By offering a broad and diverse but also deeply scientific conference program, the conference plays a vital role in helping pharma and biotech scientists successfully attack the significant challenges in modern-day drug research and development work.

The programme

The 2015 science programme will have multiple streams with leading science experts covering advances in aging, cell signaling, medicinal chemistry, synergy of combination drug therapies, Next Generation Sequencing applications, information management, stem cells, peptide therapies, GPCRs and translational medicine. Furthermore, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss strategic and business oriented issues and learn more career options in many of the exceptional satellite focused sessions.

Industrial Exhibition

Parallel to the scientific program, the MipTec exhibition will take place in Hall 4.1 in the Congress Center Basel. On a 900-square-meter area exhibitors will showcase their newest developments, products and services in the field of laboratory and research reagents, laboratory automation and instruments as well as hard- and software for the computer-supported analysis and medicinal chemistry of industry leaders and decision makers in the life sciences area.

Major Upgrade (LabAutomations 3.0)

It was silent here since we started to develop the recent upgrade of LabAutomations, but I am excited to announce its release!

Now, the site is more powerfull than ever before. We primarily focused on usability and found a few good ways to implement a system which is easy to use but still multifunctional as per our requirements. I hope you like it as we do and enjoy this free community!

At this point, an important note for everyone who has beta tested our "LinkedIn Sign Up System". Unfortunately, we had to discontinue this module and replace it with a better one! The problem was simple, once someone logged in using this API he or she was unable to login normally and had to use the LinkedIn Sign Up System forever.

However, now you get a mail straight to your LinkedIn account, including the credentials to login "normally".
